Modbury

Modbury, which is our nearest town, shot to fame as the UK’s first plastic-bag-free zone and then again with the youngest shop owner in the country.

What they needed was a vibrant image to unify all their various activities including their carnival, the chamber of commerce website, tourist promotions etc.

We had the benefit of seeing things from the outside and put forward a disparate collection of designs to start the ball rolling including this fabulous cockerel (inspired by the church weathervane). The committee felt it ticked all the right boxes and reflected the vibrant spirit of Modbury full of energy, bright, colourful, young and quirky and embraced it enthusiastically from the moment they saw it.
