Just launched this Autumn is Bell & Loxton’s cold pressed rapeseed oil in highly distinctive aluminium bottles. The design work included creating the Bell & Loxton brand, bottle labels, point of sale material and an ecommerce website. The decision to use aluminium rather than glass for the bottles was brave – but entirely rational. Aluminium is cheaper, light to transport, it doesn’t break, it has much better recycling credentials, it holds more oil and keeps it in peak condition. From a marketing perspective the bottles have huge shelf shout – and look stunning in the kitchen. The product has now been launched into twelve outlets in Devon with tastings and point of sale material helping to get across the message that rapeseed oil is a great home-grown alternative to olive oil with proven health advantages.
